Mike Batistick’s plays include CHICKEN (Studio Dante), PORT AUTHORITY THROW DOWN (Culture Project), FLAG (Hangar Theatre), PONIES (Studio Dante), TEMPO (Steppenwolf First Look), and BODEGA LUNG FAT (Hackney Empire, London). PONIES was designated a New York Times Critics’ Pick when it was released as a film in 2012. In television, he has written for FX’s "The Americans" (WGA Nomination) and Dick Wolf’s "Chicago PD" on NBC. His pilot "We Counted Your Knives" was purchased and developed by USA Network. Commissioned by the Atlantic Theater, he has developed plays with the Cape Cod Theater Project, Ars Nova Play Group, Labyrinth Theater Company, MCC Theater, and The Public. A graduate of Juilliard's writing program, he grew up in New Jersey and went to undergrad at Fordham University in the Bronx.
