Micah Schraft's plays include A DOG'S HOUSE (World Premiere at IAMA Theatre, directed by Trip Cullman) and THE PROPAGANDA PLAYS (Dixon Place). His work has been developed at Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Lab, P73, Miranda Theatre, Rising Phoenix Rep, IAMA, and the Public Theatre. He co-wrote the feature film “The Quiet,” which was developed at the Sundance Lab, premiered at Toronto Film Festival, and was released by Sony Pictures Classics. He also co-wrote/composed the movie musical “Sunny & Share Love You,” which premiered at the Outfest film festival (Audience Award) and was released by Vanguard Cinema. He has written movies and pilots for Universal, Sony, Disney, Paramount, Fox Searchlight, WB, ABC, and HBO. In television he has written two produced movies, as well as for the series “Jane the Virgin” (CW), “Jessica Jones” (Marvel/Netflix), “The Tomorrow People” (CW), “Red Widow” (ABC), “The Secret Circle” (CW), and “Hung” (HBO). He holds a BA and an MFA from Columbia University. He has taught writing at UCLA, NYU, and Columbia, and has mentored at The Ghetto School, Young Storytellers, PEN Prison Program, Virginia Ave Project, and the Outfest Lab.
