Partnerships
In Good Company: DPS has partnered with these independent theatre organizations who share our mission as advocates for new playwrights and the future vitality of the theatre.
The Lillys:
We're proud to sponsor the annual The Lilly Awards, co-creators of The Count, an annual data-based report of gender disparity on American stages,
and the only major theatre organization presenting exclusively to women theater artists.
Waterwell:
We're proud to be one of the sponsors of Waterwell, a vibrant theatre-education and production company that presents innovative professional work
and runs the drama program at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City.
Educational Theatre Association:
As sponsors and exhibitors at the annual National Conference and International Thespian Festival, we support EdTA's mission of shaping lives through
theatre education by honoring student achievement and supporting theatre educators. We proudly commission EdTA's annual Next Generation Works
professional play, which allows students to work with theatre professionals in creating, presenting, responding to, and connecting with new work.
AACT:
For many years we have been a proud sponsor of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT). We support their chief goal of enabling community
theatres across the country to become the cornerstones of the creative life of their communities.
Arthur Miller Foundation:
DPS is proud to publish the plays of the legendary American playwright Arthur Miller, and to support the Arthur Miller Foundation,
which invests in public school theatre teachers to help the students of today become the artists and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow.
Be An Arts Hero
With the extension of the Broadway shutdown and the continued closure of theaters across America, arts organizations, including Dramatists Play Service,
are facing an economic reckoning. Without support from the government, many of our beloved theaters and arts institutions are in danger. That's why DPS
is joining forces with Be An Arts Hero, an intersectional grassroots campaign for proportionate relief to the Arts & Culture sector of the American economy.
