THE STORY: Eileen Taylor, a young lady from Albany recently thrown over by her beau, makes the trip down to New York City to visit her brother and try to get her life back on track. It’s not long in the Big Apple before Eileen meets a new man, Mike, who, despite her change in geography, seems to be just like all the others. Frustrated with the modern rules of dating, the last thing she expects is for the old beau to pop up at her brother’s door—and pop the question! As the action moves swiftly from scene to scene, the complications multiply uproariously. A small fib, made to avoid a misunderstanding, grows enormous and our heroine is hard-pressed to convey the truth which will save her engagement. Fiance, brother and friend are ultimately set straight on what has transpired, but the tangling is wildly funny.
